University and College Grounds (Large)
Honor Award

Unparalleled beauty and interest is found throughout the campus, with oak, maple, and pistache trees providing color and contrast throughout the year. A sea of 75 blooming redbuds welcome visitors in early spring along with a host of flowerbeds, arbors, and landscape features accenting the hilly topography. Since 1995, over 2,600 trees and 9,000 shrubs have been planted on a once barren hilltop, rendering the campus as one of the most striking in the southwest.
