The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts seeks an experienced Horticulturist who will be responsible for the general landscape maintenance, care, improvement and appearance of the Museum’s grounds, Sculpture Garden, and parking facilities. This position will plan and implement seasonal landscape designs and plantings and maintain the quality and health of grounds, lawns, and landscape displays by performing daily maintenance (planting, mulching, watering, fertilizing, weeding, etc). Additionally, this position develops and maintains a volunteer program to assist with work in the Sculpture Garden; monitors and operates irrigation and sprinkler systems; maintains water fountains and the water garden; maintains a safe and clean environment for our guests and staff; and is responsible for snow removal / inclement weather preparedness on the Museum’s campus and parking facilities.
