Boyer
& Harvey Recognized as CGMs; Four Achieve CGT Designations
Raymond
K. Boyer has become the 90th Certified Grounds Manager.
Boyer has been the Supervisor of Parks Landscape Maintenance at
the Peoria Park District since December 1992. He received his certification
on August 4, 2003.
The
91st individual to receive their Certified Grounds Manager certification
is Kevin C. Harvey. Harvey has
been the Grounds Manager at the St. Augustine-St. Johns County Airport
Authority in St. Augustine, Florida since May of 2000. He received
his certification on August 6, 2003.
Matthew
Meier
has become the 30th Certified Grounds Technician. He is currently
the Master Grounds Keeper with the University of Akron in Akron,
OH. Meier has been with the University since September 25, 1998.
Matthew received his certification on May 2, 2003.
Scott
Kelley
has become the 31st Certified Grounds Technician. He received his
certification on August 4, 2003. Kelley has been employed by Hoffman
Development Corporation in Albany, NY in the capacity of Grounds
Keeper. He has actively performed under this job title since June
15, 2003. Scotts primary responsibilities are the care and
continual maintenance of landscapes, gardens, turf, trees and shrubs
as well as hardscape areas.
On
August 11, 2003, Jeremy Parmenter
received his Certified Grounds Technician certification. Jeremy
is the 32nd CGT to achieve this status. Parmenter has been a foreman
with Neds Lawn and Tree Service in Boulder, Colorado since
April of 1995.
Stan Batton has become the 33rd individual to successfully complete
the Certified Grounds Technician Program. Batton obtained his CGT
certificate on August 13, 2003. Stan is the groundskeeper supervisor
for Goodwill of Central Arizona located in Phoenix, Arizona.
