Urban University Grounds
Grand Award

The University of Chicago’s landscape provides a campus environment rich in horticultural diversity and beauty that can be readily appreciated by the University and the surrounding community. Designated as a botanic garden in 1997, the University’s campus serves as an educational resource intended to grow, display, and document plant materials of both ornamental and scientific interest suited to the environment of the Chicago Lakefront.
